Cascade is helping to support the Portland Swap Meet again this year.  Bud Mansur is the Captain of this position.  You MUST email or call him at mansur.m11@gmail.com or 503-519-1382.  The dates are as follows:
  April 1-2 is set up around the track.  
  April 3  Move in of vendors and set up for the vendors
  April 4-6  We escort people, pick up parts and deliver straw if the weather is bad.


We drive golf carts to deliver people and parts.  We try to collect a minimum of $5 per rider and this is where the donation to The Transitional School comes from.  We typically collect upwards of $10,000, depending on the weather and the turn out of vendors.  It is fun and interesting.  This is one of the biggest outdoor flea markets on the west coast.  It also provides PIR around 1/3 of their budget for the year so it is important to racing. You get to see so much “stuff” and things you just can’t believe people are buying or selling.


All of these positions can be long and cold hours. If you sign up, please make sure you keep the times you are set for.  If you fail to notify Bud if you can’t be there, you will probably not be asked to come back the next year.  THIS EVENT HAPPENS RAIN, SHINE OR SNOW.
